De nos jours, le fait d'entendre les personnages parler est tellement rentré dans les habitudes que nous n'y faisons même plus attention, mais à l'époque de notre brave CPC, rares étaient les jeux qui possédaient des digitalisations vocales.

 

Il faut reconnaître que le soucis de place mémoire est aussi un frein à ce genre d'ajout. 

 

L'utilisation de digitalisations vocales pouvaient se faire soit par software (par exemple avec Echosoft), soit par Hardware supplémentaire (synthétiseur vocale externe DK'Tronics Speech Synthesizer ou Amstrad SSA-1 Speech Synthesizer).
