This is "closed eyes", by cpcitor, an entry submitted to LoveByte 2025 in the 64 byte oldschool intro category.
A simple cross fade effect. Basically a Galois Linear feedback shift register, just decently coded for Z80 and packaged for the Amstrad CPC firmware and hardware.
The Amstrad CPC has a "huge" (16kbytes) framebuffer for its league, making fast full-screen effects not so obvious.
The 64-byte raw headerless binary is supplied. You can reproduce by stuffing the bytes at address 0xBF90 and have the Z80 jump
to 0xBF98.
