Pick a power car and race around six scintillating tracks on the quest to become the meanest, hardest, fastest driver in the world. Loading Instructions: 464: Press CTRL and small ENTER 6128: Type |Tape and press RETURN. Press CTRL and ENTER. Controls: Joystick is redifinable Plug in a joystick, and drive baby, drive. Take care when you turn a corner, however... there's a surprise in store for the unwary! Roaring Round The Track Clamber into the driving seat as Rick Radial, the meanest man on the stock car circuit. As one-time world champion you've already amassed some serious sponsorship, so each time you go out to compete you can choose to drive one of your four cars: a Lamborghini Countach, a Ferrari Testarossa, a Lotus Esprit or a Porsche 959. Real class motors for a spot of stock car racing, eh? The aim of the game is simple: roar round the track as fast as you can and try to complete five laps within the qualifying time. Bonus scores are available if you succeed, and Rick Radial is after the all-time high score, so make sure you give of the best. Six tracks are featured in the Stock Car Derby, and you need to qualify before moving on to compete on the next track in the series. If you're driver enough to get Rick to qualify on the sixth circuit, then the competition continues on Track One - only this time, the challenge is just that bit harder. And it keeps getting harder, and harder... and harder. You don't have to play all that fair when you're on the circuit - remember, this is stock car racing, and the Highway Code was torn up years ago as far as these guys are concerned. Rip, wrench, crash and maim all you like - but be careful to avoid trashing your own motor. Sponsors don't have bottomless bank accounts, so bear in mind the cost of the mean machine you're driving. DESIGNING YOUR OWN COURSE The R key on the opening screen takes you to the course designing module, where you can spend hours devising devious courses that you, your friends or the computer can then attempt.. You can create your own three-course Cup event by modifying all three courses, or just tinker around with one of the courses supplied with the game. The choice is yours... Course building is simplicity itself - the scrolling window at the top of the screen is the empty track on which construction takes place. Modular sections are added to the empty track, building your designer course up from the half pipe at the right. All you have to do is scroll the lower window left or right until the obstacle you want to add to your course is in the hot window at the very left, then click fire to add it to the course you're building in the upper scrolling window. There's no limit to the ingenuity you can apply - but remember, unless you're a real rad racer, there's no point in creating really difficult courses.
