NOTICE TEXTE n° 1 (1.57 Ko)

06 Jun 2000 AqText is a text processing program for the Amstrad/Schneider CPC 464/664/6128. It has the following features: - works with french, german and english character sets - is able to include graphics on a page - shows the graphics while editing, allows individual graphics border on each line - makes use of memory expansions (works well with CPC emulators). - can use nearly any printer that is usable by DOS - has a setup program It is written in 100 % asm (well, in our days of Pentium XII with 14 GHz that doesnt count that much ;-). To get the handbook, you have to start the CPC (or the emulator), insert the disk, and start the program by typing run"start" The program will be loaded now. Then goto the "Datei" menu, select "Dokument laden" and enter the filename. The handbook has names from "AQT001.AQD" to "AQT027.AQD". Load and if you like any page. The handbook itself is a nice example of AqText's capabilities. I used that program till the middle of the 90ies for writing homeworks and other school stuff. I'am sorry that all the program and the documentation is in german, but internationalization wasn't really a matter in those days ;-) The default settings for AqText is not to use a memory expansion, to use PC character set and a Star LC 10/20 printer. You can change these settings by invoking "aqtinst", the setup program. Start it by typing run"aqtinst" For questions ask the author: Martin Preuss <martin@aquamaniac.de>
